Porto is greener and wetter than Lisbon, with most rain falling between November and March. Late spring and September bring mild days and fewer crowds.
Expert Tip: Avoid the week of São João (23 June) unless you want to join the party, as hotels fill fast.

Book the Douro Early

Quintas in the Douro Valley often host one group at a time, and the September harvest is their busiest season. Secure your vineyard day and drivers first, then build the week around it.
Expert Tip: Allow a full day for the valley. It is around two hours each way by road.
DINING
Book dinners early

Porto’s food scene is legendary, but few restaurants can seat a team of 30 or more at once. The ones that can are in high demand.
Expert Tip: Lock in group dinners as early as possible, especially from May to October. Consider full restaurant buyouts for that exclusive feel.
