Why Croatia for Your Company Retreat?
Croatia offers the right mix for team retreats: a beautiful, sunlit Dalmatian coastline, more than a thousand islands, and some of the clearest water in Europe.
GOOD CONNECTIONS IN SEASON
Direct flights into Split, Dubrovnik and Zadar from across Europe from spring to autumn, and year-round connections via Zagreb.
LONG SUMMERS
Warm, dry weather from May to October and sea temperatures that stay swimmable well into autumn. Outdoor sessions, dinners and boat days are easy to plan.
NATURE EVERYWHERE
Roman palaces, lavender fields, vineyards, the Game of Thrones streets and medieval walls of Dubrovnik. You can mix city, island, and nature without long transfers.
FOOD & WINE
Fresh-caught fish, slow-cooked peka, local olive oil, and island wines. Meals in Croatia are long, shared, and made for conversation.
Activity Ideas for Company Retreats in Croatia
From Roman city streets to quiet island harbours, these are the activities we recommend most often for teams. For something truly local, try a workshop in klapa, the traditional Dalmatian a cappella singing that is on UNESCO’s list of intangible heritage.

WINE AND OLIVE OIL TASTING
Taste Pošip on Korčula, Plavac Mali on Pelješac, and family-pressed olive oils with the people who make them.
STAND-UP PADDLE
Glide over clear turquoise water at sunrise or sunset, with calm bays that suit complete beginners.
PEKA COOKING CLASS
Slow-cook meat, octopus, or vegetables under an iron bell in the embers – the classic Dalmatian way to share a meal.
GUIDED NATURE HIKE
Walk Split's Marjan Hill or climb to Hvar's highest peak for wide views over the islands.
ISLAND-HOPPING SAILING TRIP
Charter a catamaran or traditional wooden boat to swim stops, island lunches, and the Blue Cave near Vis.
KLAPA SINGING WORKSHOP
Learn a song with local singers in Dalmatia's UNESCO-listed a cappella tradition – no musical experience needed.
OLD TOWN HISTORY WALK
Wander Croatia’s stone-paved old towns with a local guide, uncovering Roman ruins, Venetian palaces and centuries of coastal stories.
SEA KAYAKING
Kayakaround Dubrovnik's walls or between the Pakleni Islands, stopping in hidden coves to swim and snorkel.Expert Advice
A few things we’ve learned from planning retreats on the Croatian coast, so your team gets the best version of it.
TIME OF YEAR
Pick the Right Season
⟶
July and August bring peak heat, peak prices, and busy old towns. Many island hotels and ferry routes also scale back between November and March.
Expert Tip: Aim for April - June or September - early October. The sea is warm, the islands are open, and you'll get better rates and quieter towns.
ORGANISATION
Map Your team's flights first
⟶
Before choosing a region, check where everyone is flying in from. The coastal airports are very seasonal, and with large groups there may not be enough seats on one day’s flights.
Expert Tip: Keep in mind that flights to Croatia can be more tricky for people coming from outside of Europe.
LOCATION
Ask Your Team First
⟶
Some teams want lively harbour towns and boat parties; others want quiet coves and long dinners. Island life suits both, but not on the same island.
Expert Tip: Run a short survey on pace, activity level, and swimming comfort before you choose between Hvar, Korčula or a city base.

A Recent One We Loved
Dubrovnik
Work, Water and lots of karaoke
This year, 75 of them came together in Dubrovnik for a week. The agenda was premium: work sessions, a group sail on a traditional Karaka boat, team games in the park and much more. The finale: a gala awards night and karaoke party in a private event space rented just for them.
